Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer is required to join an industry leader in Union City, CA.
The successful Building Automation Engineer / Building Automation Designer / Building Automation Systems Designer will translate HVAC and control requirements into detailed technical documentation that supports field installation and procurement.

Responsibilities:
* Develop detailed BAS design documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and controls drawings.
* Collaborate with project teams to understand project scope, HVAC sequences, and control requirements.
* Utilize design and documentation tools such as Visio, Bluebeam, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, and Distech Designer.
* Create and maintain accurate controls design packages to support procurement and field installation.
* Translate design intent into clear, professional graphical representations and system documentation.
* Support project managers by coordinating design activities and responding to technical questions.
* Address design-related issues during construction and commissioning phases as needed.
* Participate in client meetings to review design concepts and provide technical explanations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in building automation systems, HVAC controls, or related disciplines.
* Proficiency with Visio, Niagara N4, Distech GFX, Distech Designer, and Bluebeam.
* Strong understanding of BAS platforms and protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and Niagara Framework.
* Experience creating controls drawings, BOMs, and technical design documentation.
* Can live anywhere in the US, preferably in CA.
