Salary: £40,579.20 per annum including £1,000 additional allowances
Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week
About the Role
We are seeking a Level 3 Electrical Installations qualified Electrician to join our Facilities Maintenance team at HMP Exeter, a Category B Adult Male local prison. You will work alongside experienced colleagues across various trades to create a safe and nurturing environment for prisoners, employees, and visitors. The role involves maintaining electrical installations, ensuring safety, and supporting the smooth operation of the facility.
Qualifications
* C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent qualifications
* A certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations 18th Edition
* A minimum of two years experience working in a role as an electrician, preferably within a healthcare, military or commercial environment
* An honest and conscientious character, with an ability to approach challenges in a calm manner and a positive attitude
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Future Plans
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. Following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will complete transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
