We’re looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead the team at Old Bar, our much-loved traditional pub at the heart of Leeds University Union.

Are you passionate about great pubs, great people, and creating unforgettable experiences? Leeds University Union’s Old Bar — our much-loved, traditional student pub — is on the lookout for a driven, enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead the charge.
Old bar is our fun, traditional pub whose USP is live sport, cask & craft beers and homemade pub food. You will play a key role in supporting and delivering the daily operations within this outlet and occasionally supporting the teams in our other bars & venues. We’re proud holders of a Best Bar None Gold Award, recognised for our high standards, community spirit, and safe, welcoming vibe.
As our Old Bar Manager, you’ll:
1. Lead and inspire a buzzing team of bar stars
2. Drive great service, great sales, and great memories
3. Keep operations smooth, standards high, and spirits even higher
4. Play a key role in one of Leeds’ most iconic student venues
You’ll be ensuring that standards are maintained and financial targets achieved, whilst effectively leading and developing the team of staff that you work with. You’ll also be supporting the operations manager in the development of a dynamic and stimulating experience as our team evolves and continues to grow.
