Every year we resolve hundreds of thousands of disputes between consumers or small businesses and their financial service providers – and if we believe a customer hasn’t been treated fairly, we can step in to put things right.We are at the early stages of our DevOps journey, following a successful migration from on-premises infrastructure to an Azure Landing Zone structure. With limited Infrastructure-as-Code and pipeline automation currently in place, this is a unique opportunity for you to help lead and shape the evolution of DevOps within our organisation.You’ll play a pivotal role in defining best practices, implementing automation, and embedding a DevOps culture that supports transformation, project delivery, and business-as-usual operations. Alongside driving maturity, you’ll use your technical expertise to maintain and optimise our systems, ensuring they remain secure, resilient, and future-ready—all while enjoying a healthy work-life balance, with only occasional requirements for work outside core hours.**Key responsibilities*** Champion DevOps adoption across the team, introducing modern practices and tools, and aiding the wider IT function.* Design, implement, and optimise Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.* Collaborate with stakeholders to define standards and governance for our evolving cloud environment.* Build, manage, and optimise Azure resources, ensuring security and compliance.* Proactively monitor system performance, safeguard data through robust backup strategies, and work seamlessly across teams to maintain resilience and ensure uninterrupted business operations.* Use advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver continuous improvements.* Support both strategic projects and day-to-day operations, ensuring systems remain secure, resilient, and future-ready.*To be considered for this role, you’ll need to show us that you’ve got the skills and capabilities. You’ll have to meet the following minimum criteria:***Minimum Criteria*** Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native services.* Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and CI/CD automation (Azure DevOps pipelines).* Skilled in scripting (PowerShell, Bash),* Solid understanding of automation, scripting, and configuration management.* Knowledge of security best-practice and system hardening.* Ability to influence and embed DevOps culture, working collaboratively across teams.**Desirable Criteria*** Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).* Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.* Experienced in Windows Server and Linux administration.* Programming with Python and/or Go/Golang* Experience in VMware environments, including compute/SAN and HCI technologies.* Certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent.We are a values led organisation.
