About The Role
As an Inclusive Learning Tutor at EKC Canterbury College, you will work within our Inclusive Learning department to support students across various study programmes, including sensory programmes and Level 3 qualifications.
Your responsibilities include providing group and 1:1 support to learners with diverse learning difficulties and disabilities, helping them achieve their full potential.
You will collaborate with a team of Inclusive Learning Tutors and Learning Support Practitioners to design, deliver, and evaluate the PSA (Personal Social Achievement) support programme. This involves planning and teaching targeted tasks that promote development aligned with learners' EHCP outcomes and preparation for adulthood.
The activities will be engaging, dynamic, and aimed at progressing in four key areas: Cognition and Learning, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Communication and Interaction, and Physical and Sensory needs.

About You
You should have a passion for helping students overcome learning barriers. The role requires being highly organized, creative, and capable of planning and delivering engaging, innovative sessions.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential to engage reluctant learners, along with the ability to assess and track progress and plan further interventions. Empathy and a positive outlook towards learners are crucial.
