We are seeking an enthusiastic educator with a strong Early Years background to teach Childcare and Personal Development programmes to both 14 to 16 and post 16 learners. Responsibilities
As a Lecturer within our 14 to 16 provision and Pre Vocational Programme (PVP) team, you will support two distinct learner cohorts to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to progress successfully into further education, employment and adult life. Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across a varied curriculum covering key topics such as child development, health and safety, nutrition, communication and play. Use your own knowledge and experience to ensure learners gain the practical and theoretical skills required to achieve their qualifications.
Work closely with Learning Support Assistants to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs, creating an inclusive environment where all learners can participate, progress and succeed. Use regular assessment to monitor progress, identify gaps in learning and support continuous improvement. Promote attendance, support student wellbeing and embed literacy, numeracy and essential life skills throughout the curriculum.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Early Years practice and experience teaching learners aged 14 to 16 or 16 to 19. Confidence in supporting students who require additional guidance to achieve their potential. Experience delivering PSHE, personal development or life skills programmes is highly advantageous.
Applications are welcomed from qualified teachers, lecturers, assessors, trainers and experienced Early Years professionals with relevant teaching or training experience. Above all, you will be a positive role model, an effective communicator and a collaborative team player who is passionate about helping young people develop the confidence, resilience and skills needed for future success.
