Where will I be working?
You will be working at our service in Birchington, supporting 8 individuals. We offer a 24-hour supported living facility providing support for adults with Learning Disabilities. We tailor our support to enable people to be as independent as possible.
Support Workers are linked to work with a specific person based on shared preferences and personalities, creating a bespoke core team of staff.
Days may include supporting people to meet with friends or family, accessing health professionals, housework, shopping, day trips, cooking, holidays, and gym classes.
People we support here have a mixture of communication, mobility, and health needs, in a quiet but active environment. The location is accessible via local transport, close to the train station and bus routes, with the town nearby.
Shift Patterns
This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential. Shifts include nights and some weekends.
Average potential earnings are £25,383 based on 37 hours.
*Potential earnings include additional shifts and sleep-ins where applicable.
**Sleep-ins are not required in all services.
***Earnings may vary if overtime is not worked.
Role Responsibilities
What will I be doing?
This hands-on role involves varied daily duties, including:
* Promoting independence
* Supporting daily activities like cleaning, cooking, outings, and holidays
* Organizing activities in the home and community
* Developing residents' life skills and interests
* Ensuring safety and health
* Assisting with personal care
* Supporting medication management
* Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service monitoring
