About The Role
We’re seeking top talent to join us during an exciting phase of our growth, as we enhance our market-leading position by delivering superior customer experiences. We have a new opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to work regionally, focusing on acquiring and developing revenue streams from major customers in the Mechanical and Engineering sector. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with low-level access, pipe jointing equipment, and other sector-specific equipment, along with strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
In this role, you will work closely with the sales and account management teams to develop and execute a commercial strategy for our products, aiming to achieve high ROI aligned with Sunbelt Rentals’ objectives.
This will involve optimizing revenue through multiple sales channels (National, Regional, Internal), identifying and marketing differentiated value propositions across various markets and growth sectors, and implementing training programs to enhance order conversion rates and customer experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Create and implement a performance management process for the PA Sales community to boost capability, call activity, and area growth.
2. Develop and manage a regional project pipeline to drive new business through relevant sales channels.
3. Collaborate with the National Accounts team to increase the Powered Access share within national accounts.
4. Implement sales and marketing strategies to leverage Sunbelt Rentals’ solutions for working at height, including Telematics, Access Control, and Material Handling Attachments, focusing on safety, service, sustainability, and cost savings.
5. Develop and coordinate training programs to increase product knowledge and safety awareness, creating teams of ‘Trusted Advisors’.
6. Align marketing campaigns and collateral with new and underutilized products and services.
7. Identify new markets and underpenetrated sectors, developing strategies to increase market share.
8. Establish systems for pricing governance, discounting, and ROI improvement.
9. Promote cross-selling opportunities across all divisions of Sunbelt Rentals.

About You
We will support your success with tailored training and development. To thrive as a Territory Sales Manager, you should possess:
* Experience in Account Management and the Plant and Tool Hire Industry, preferably in sales or contract management.
* Confidence and ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and lead on tender bids.
* Collaboration skills to work effectively with procurement, tenders, marketing, and sales teams.
The essential requirements:
* Extensive sales experience with large customers.
* Sales management experience, including team development.
* Commercial acumen for competitive bidding.
* Proficiency in tender and bid writing.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Understanding of hire contracts and terms.
* Ability to work across teams to build proposals and contracts.
