Project Quantity SurveyorWater & Utilities SectorWe are recruiting for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a growing engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major projects across the UK water and utilities sector.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career within a fast-growing business offering long-term progression, exposure to NEC contracts, and involvement in high-profile infrastructure projects.The RoleAs Project Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of water and wastewater projects from project handover through to final account.Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, you will play a key role in cost control, commercial reporting, procurement, and contract administration.Key ResponsibilitiesManage project commercial performance and cost controlPrepare and submit applications for paymentAdminister subcontractor accounts and valuationsSupport procurement of subcontractors and suppliersProduce cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow updatesMonitor project budgets and commercial risksAssist with change management and variationsSupport final accounts and commercial close-outEnsure compliance with NEC3 / NEC4 contractsLiaise with clients, site teams, and key stakeholdersRequirementsMinimum 2 years experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial roleExperience within construction, utilities, infrastructure, or water sectorsStrong understanding of cost reporting and forecastingNEC3 and/or NEC4 contract experienceGood commercial awareness and negotiation skillsAbility to manage workload independentlyStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordDegree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferredAbout the CompanyOur client is a well-established engineering and infrastructure contractor operating across the UK water sector.They deliver mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) projects for major water and wastewater frameworks, providing services including:Water treatment infrastructureWastewater projectsMEICA installation and commissioningCivil engineering supportSystem integration and automation solutionsWith a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the utilities sector, the business offers excellent opportunities for career progression into Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Management roles.KeywordsProject Quantity Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, QS, Water Sector, Utilities, NEC Contracts, NEC3, NEC4, Commercial Management, Cost Reporting, Infrastructure, MEICA, Water Treatment, Wastewater, Commercial Analyst, Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Construction, Engineering, Project Commercial Management
