The kitchen assistant's expertise guarantees quality and consistency of preparation and cleaning

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
DUTIES:
* Ensure all food storage, product rotation maximizes potential profit of the product
* Ensure all product preparation is completed to standard to ensure recipe potential is achieved. (salads, peeled vegetables)
* Ensure all working utensils and equipment are maintained to maximize life span to operate to full capacity
* Ensure all chemicals are stored correctly and correct amounts are used in the day to day kitchen schedule
* Receiving of daily produce deliveries and checking of quality (including weights and temperature)
* Maintaining cleanliness, safety and organization of the kitchen
* Always presenting self in perfect uniform and correct shift start time
* Completing quality preparation of all duties to clean, set up, handover and close kitchen to standard
HUMAN RESOURCES, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:
* Health and Safety adherence including risk assessment and equipment maintenance (internal)
REPORTING AND RESPONSIBILITY:
* Adhere to all company rules, regulations and procedures
* Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to
* Communicates any potential problems to the duty manager
* Perform any reasonable task as directed by managers and operations managers
* Operates best practice to reduce wastage
* Takes responsibility for stock rotation
BASICS:
* Turn up on time – EMBANKMENT KITCHEN staff are always ready for their shift 5 minutes early, dressed and full of enthusiasm
