The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a new role in our Infectious Disease business: a Contracts and Tender Manager for UK, Ireland & Nordics. In this role, you will manage the Tenders & Contracts function, providing commercial support and advice to sales teams and management, ensuring all business processes are compliant, structured, and efficient.
The position is based at Abbott House in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
What You’ll Do
As a Contracts & Tender Manager, you will act as a key business partner, managing all tender and contract knowledge, and advising sales, marketing, and management on pricing strategies. Your responsibilities include:
* Strategic Leadership: Developing and implementing sales strategies for tenders and managed services contracts across UK, Ireland, and Nordics. Driving account acquisition, retention, and identifying new opportunities. Negotiating tenders and contracts.
* Commercial Excellence: Coordinating bid and risk assessments, ensuring profitability and competitive positioning. Preparing and reviewing proposals with sales and finance. Collaborating with partners to develop innovative solutions and value-added services.
* Compliance: Reviewing tender and framework documents for legal obligations, ensuring adherence to OEC policies and competition law. Preparing, reviewing, and submitting tenders on time. Ensuring quotation and price accuracy in systems.
Required Qualifications / Profile
* University degree preferred
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and challenge management credibly
* Experience in a commercial environment is advantageous
* Healthcare sector experience is advantageous
* Understanding of procurement processes and EU Procurement Regulations in Nordics is preferred
* System skills in Business Objects, Power-BI, SAP are desirable
