We are seeking a dedicated Individual Needs Assistant to work 1:1 with a bright, autistic child in Key Stage 1 who experiences behavioural challenges.
This is a unique chance to help one child thrive—by providing the trust, structure, and stability they need to access learning in a way that works best for them.
About the Role
Provide one-to-one support for a pupil with autism and behavioural needs.
Foster both academic progress and emotional well-being.
Offer a consistent, predictable presence to reduce anxiety and build trust.
Work in close partnership with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver tailored strategies.
Use proactive, positive behaviour approaches to support learning and self-regulation.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be:
Calm, consistent, and fair in your approach.
Experienced (or confident) in supporting autistic children and/or those with behavioural needs.
Patient, positive, and clear in setting boundaries and expectations.
A team player who can follow structured plans while responding flexibly with empathy.
