A college in Slough is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer to join our established Construction team. We are looking for someone with strong industry experience, a passion for the trade, and the ability to support learners in developing the skills they need for successful careers in the construction sector.
About the Role:
* Job title: Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer
* Location: Slough
* Start date: ASAP
* Salary: £30-34 p/h
* Contract: Full time
Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching across Level 1 3 Carpentry and Joinery programmes
* Support students in developing practical skills in our specialist workshops
* Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and learning resources aligned with curriculum requirements
* Provide clear, constructive feedback and pastoral support
* Contribute to course development and continuous improvement within the Construction department
* Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, including health and safety practices
About You:
* Significant current carpentry or joinery industry experience
* A recognised qualification in Carpentry/Joinery (Level 3 or above)
* A teaching or assessing qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate learners
* Commitment to high standards of teaching, safety, and professionalism
