Here at Aspris, we are proud to be a leading provider of specialist education services with over 30 schools nationwide. We are recruiting for a Deputy Head Teacher to join us in opening a new school for autistic children and young people (opening September 2025).
We are looking for an outstanding relationship builder, with the knowledge of how to inspire exceptional performance and maintain a positive and enthusiastic learning environment for pupils and colleagues alike. You will be part of the creation and help lead the vision of the curriculum and education programmes, creating an inclusive culture in line with the Aspris values.

The purpose of our school is to help prepare young people to make a successful transition into adulthood with the resilience and the necessary skills to live as independently as possible and participate in their local community. We seek to increase achievement and independence to give our students the best possible opportunities to gain employment or access further education and enable them to go on to live the life they choose.
What will Aspris Ridgeway look like?
* Aspris Ridgeway School will be a centre of autism expertise and excellence, educating up to 60 pupils aged 7-19 with identified autism needs and in receipt of an EHCP.
* A welcoming school environment with clearly defined specialist therapy and teaching areas, staffed and resourced to meet individual complex needs.
* A school with strong leadership and governance.
* A provider of opportunities that engage young people in appropriate learning, so they achieve outstanding progress relative to their starting points.
* A provider of a highly individualised, therapeutic based curriculum which prepares pupils with skills for lifelong learning.
We aim to open initially with Y5 and Y6 pupils. We are therefore looking for outstanding primary teachers to join us on this exciting journey.
* To work with the Headteacher to ensure that the aims, values and objectives of the school are achieved through an accurate and effective self-evaluation and development plan
* To guide, support, role model and develop the schools PBS approach
* To support all staff in ensuring and promoting the wellbeing of the staff team
* To ensure that the school meets the required standards for safeguarding its pupils
* To support the effective implementation of the school’s staff appraisal structures
* Ensuring that accurate reporting is made available as required for all stake holders, including parents / carers and governors
* Monitor the quality of learning and progress made ensuring learners are able to access outstanding educational opportunities
* To lead training for staff, when needed
* To update polices and procedures, where necessary
* Undertake other reasonable roles, as directed by the Head teacher
