Everything you need to build and scale a seven-figure Data desk.
The Role
As a Principal Data Recruiter, you will take full ownership of a 360 desk, placing specialists across:
* Data Engineering (Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks)
* Cloud Data Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Data Science & Machine Learning
* Analytics & BI (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
* AI / Advanced Analytics
* Platform, Streaming & Modern Data Stack
You’ll operate as a trusted market authority, partnering with senior data leaders across enterprise and high-growth tech environments.
What We’re Looking For
* 3+ years’ experience in tech recruitment
* A strong, consistent billing track record in Data or adjacent markets
* Proven success in high-value business development
* Ability to operate autonomously with full P&L-style accountability
* A track record of building and scaling a profitable niche
* Senior stakeholder management (Heads of Data, CTOs, Engineering Directors)
* Clear ambition to progress into team leadership or practice ownership
* Experience covering AI, ML, Cloud, or Engineering-adjacent markets is highly advantageous.
Your Impact
* Own and grow a principal-level Data desk
* Win and expand strategic client partnerships through consultative BD
* Build, influence, and retain a high-performing Data network
* Lead end-to-end contract processes: onboarding, compliance, renewals
* Shape Gravitas’ Data practice and long-term UK market strategy
* Act as a senior contributor within the wider tech leadership group
