The Quality & Welding Engineer is responsible for providing specialist technical assurance of welding, fabrication, and associated inspection activities across the businesses supply chain, assets, and projects. The role acts as the technical authority for weld quality, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements, while also supporting the wider Quality function through management system development, procedure updates, and continual improvement when not deployed on project-specific welding scopes. Quality & Welding Engineer Responsibilities * Review, technically assess, and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR/WPQR), and Welder Qualification Records in accordance with applicable standards (e.g. ISO 15614, ISO 9606, ASME IX where applicable). * Verify welding documentation complies with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements. * Provide welding quality input during tender, contract review, and project handover phases. * Support definition of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) related to welding and fabrication. * Conduct supplier and fabricator audits, assessments, and technical reviews focused on welding capability and quality systems. * Verify supplier complianc...
