We are currently looking for an
Assistant Management Accountant
to provide a proactive and high-quality accounting and reporting service to our Commercial Division, supporting month end close and the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
You will join the Commercial Finance team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the division and Group Finance. This role plays a key part in delivering robust reporting, insightful analysis, and strong financial control, while contributing to continuous improvements across our finance processes and systems.
What's the Role
* Prepare monthly management accounts accurately and in line with Group deadlines
* Report monthly profit performance for the Commercial Division and support analysis
* Post journal entries, extract data and prepare financial reports
* Perform timely balance sheet reconciliations, resolving outstanding items and highlighting risks or opportunities
* Collaborate with Group Finance teams to complete reconciliation processes
* Support external audit requests by providing analysis, reports and responses to queries
* Maintain adherence to accounting policies and support internal control frameworks
What Can You Offer
* Minimum 2 years experience in a finance role, ideally within a multi-divisional group
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or active enrolment
* Previous accounting experience within a similar sized business
* Strong technical accounting skills with high numerical capability
* Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulae) and working with large data sets
* Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure, manage workload and meet deadlines
