An ambitious and growing Civil Engineering Design Consultancy, with a strong focus on the residential development sector, is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its expanding team. The practice delivers commercially considered infrastructure design solutions and has built its reputation on a clear understanding of client needs, technical expertise, and the development of long-term industry relationships.
With a predominantly residential project portfolio, the Consultancy is actively involved in the design and coordination of drainage, highways, earthworks and utility infrastructure for housing developments. Following the recent award of a significant civil engineering contract relating to water infrastructure, the business is entering an exciting period of growth, creating an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer to gain hands-on experience across both traditional development infrastructure and specialist water-related projects.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of projects from feasibility and planning stages through to detailed design and construction support. Responsibilities will include assisting with drainage strategies, flood risk assessments, levels design, utility coordination, technical approvals and the preparation of design calculations and drawings. You will work closely with experienced engineers and gain exposure to client liaison, statutory undertaker engagement and the practical considerations that underpin commercially viable engineering solutions.
This role offers extensive on-the-job training and genuine career development. The Managing Director is heavily involved in mentoring and day-to-day project delivery, remaining actively engaged in the technical work and providing direct guidance and support. As a result, you will benefit from close mentorship, practical insight and accelerated learning within a collaborative and supportive Consultancy environment.
Applicants should hold, or be nearing completion of, a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and demonstrate a strong interest in residential infrastructure design. A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills are essential. The role would suit an individual looking to develop into a well-rounded Civil Engineer within a growing Consultancy where contribution is recognised and progression is based on merit and performance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer seeking practical experience, meaningful responsibility and structured development within a residentially focused Consultancy entering an exciting new phase of growth.
