Carrick Nursery is looking to recruit a highly motivated, bubbly and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our team.*Role of the Early Years Practitioner:** To ensure our environments are safe, nurturing and engaging both indoors and outdoors* To meet with our families at drop off and pick up times* Provide a high level of awareness to transition periods and be responsive to the emotional needs of our children and families during this time* Plan stimulating and engaging activities for our children to thrive* Undertake risk assessments* Complete daily paperwork, including but not limited to, risk assessments, registers and room temperatures* Complete observations for our children and update our learning log system* Be involved in supporting new children to settle into our nursery environment* Liaise closely with our families, informing them of activities and exchanging information about progress*Qualifications:*Applicants must either posses or be working towards a relevant qualification, such as* HNC Childhood Practice at SCQF Level 7 (formerly HNC Early Education and Childcare)* SVQ Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF Level 7 ,* (advertised hourly rate will be less if not qualified)Also:* Staff must register with the Scottish Social Services (SSSC) as a practitioner in the day care of children's services.* Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential alongside SSSC Registration being mandatory.*Job Types: ** Full-time permanent position* Maternity cover also availableJob Type: Full-timePay: From £13.50 per hourWork Location: In person
