Joining IPS as a Production Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the Co-pack Operation to meet planned volume and commercial targets in accordance with Quality and Safety standards. You will be a role model for best practice at all times and through innovation deliver cost savings and provide support to the site.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40-hour week.
Key Duties of a Production Manager:
* Primary point of contact with the Customer.
* Effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis.
* Motivate a team of people to meet production targets.
* Ensure the final product meets client specifications.
* Utilise the onsite Warehouse Management systems.
* Adhere to and promote best practice in accordance with company health, safety, and quality regulations.
* Ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures.
* Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
* Ensure GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to.
* Assist in the development of a skills matrix for all production workers.
* Attend Line Leader meetings, and relevant training courses, as and when required.
* Identify and develop Line Leaders to promote success planning.
* Training and development of new starters.
* Be a role model for best practice.
* Monitor, control, and minimise waste.
* Play an active part in continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Previous experience within a production/c co-pack environment.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
* Able to communicate in a positive and clear manner.
* Knowledge of procedures and actively demonstrates compliance.
* Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work to strict deadlines.
* A commitment to respond to changing customer needs.
* Able to work towards targets/KPIs.
* Recognises and promotes the importance of continuous improvement.
* Develops best practice and drives continuous improvement in all aspects of performance to achieve service objectives.
