The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for an Air Quality & Climate Consultant to join our growing Air Quality and Climate team, supporting large-scale projects including climate risk assessments, air quality permits, and climate adaptation strategies.
This is a permanent role with flexible locations across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Manchester, and York, or hybrid home/office arrangements.
The role
You will support project delivery, contribute to environmental reports, and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities include:
* Preparing reports, designs, and calculations for environmental schemes
* Conducting air quality assessments and supporting permit applications
* Supporting climate risk assessments and developing adaptation plans
* Assisting in business development and bid writing
What will you be doing?
Air Quality:
* Supporting air quality assessments following relevant guidance
* Developing and checking dispersion models
* Supporting environmental permit processes and compliance
Climate:
* Conducting climate risk assessments using UK climate data
* Developing climate resilience strategies
* Collaborating across teams to develop solutions
Business Development:
* Supporting growth and new project proposals
* Staying updated on environmental policies and technologies
What you will bring:
* Degree in science/engineering, with relevant postgraduate qualification preferred
* Membership or working towards membership of IAQM and/or IEMA
* Knowledge of UK/EU environmental legislation and permitting activities
* Experience with climate data and dispersion modeling tools
* Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
