Job Description
We are delighted to look for a new Registered nurse with experience based in the London area or able to relocate for our Nursing Home, 74 beds, Care Home in Thamesmead, South east London a welcoming environment specializing in nursing care for younger adults with disabilities, elderly care and end of life care.
1. Day or night shifts available
2. Full-time available, 36-48 hours per week
3. Pay rate is between £20- £21 per hour
4. Paid breaks
We are currently looking to recruit Registered Nurses locally based or someone able to relocate, with a passion for providing exceptional, kind, personilized care that promotes choice, dignity and respect for residents living in an 80-bed facility set on its own grounds just outside the heart of Luton

Skills and attributes necessary:
5. Prior experience as a Registered Nurse is mandatory

8. Demonstrate an understanding and application of relevant legislation in relation to the role
9. Able to deliver nursing care in a clinical environment
10. Excellent skills and knowledge of the job role
11. Valid NMC UK PIN number without restrictions
12. Proven experience in clinical settings is desirable
13. Ability to communicate well at all levels is essential along with a flexible approach
14. Team player
15. Genuine interest in working within a care home setting.
16. Clear DBS And 2 satisfactory references
17. Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice

Working as an RGN Nurse (Registered General Nurse)
38. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long term service users.
39. Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
40. Be competent and confident in managing people with long term health conditions.
41. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs.
42. Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for service users (as appropriate).
43. Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex,urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
44. Recognize and work within your own competence level
45. Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
46. Support, manage and guide support workers on a daily basis.
47. Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
48. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
49. Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, bathing, feeding and monitoring vital signs
50. Documenting residents’ health status and maintaining accurate medical records
51. Communicating with residents’ family members and healthcare team about their condition and progress
52. Providing emotional support and therapeutic communication to residents and their families
53. Supervising and training nursing assistants and junior nursing staff
54. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and infection control
55. Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and dietitians
