Job Title: Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) Salary: Main Scale/UPS SEN1 Hours: 32.50 Location: Wyre Forest School Permanent Wyre Forest School is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) to our passionate and dedicated team who oversee the well-being of our pupils and work hard to support the parents and community that we serve. The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) will take the lead on operational safeguarding matters and play a key role in fostering a culture of vigilance, care, and wellbeing throughout the school, while reporting directly to the DSL. The Ideal Candidate will have a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and empathy. A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving. A commitment to the highest standards of safeguarding and student welfare. Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
