Join Our Dynamic Team as a Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist at Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled People (QEF) in Leatherhead, Surrey. In this role you will support adults and children with complex disabilities and those recovering from traumatic brain injury, stroke, or other neurological conditions.
Responsibilities
 * Deliver specialised speech, language and swallowing assessments for adults with communication and cognitive challenges.
 * Provide neuro‑rehabilitation in a supportive residential setting, offering both individual and group interventions.
 * Play a key role in stroke recovery pathways, providing essential rehabilitation services that follow best practice and government policies.
 * Work directly with out‑patients, delivering transformative care and advice.
 * Help design and develop SLT programmes under the mentorship of senior SLTs.
 * Offer invaluable guidance to clients, families and staff on managing dysphagia.
 * Maintain your own caseload, working independently without direct supervision.
 * Contribute to the evaluation and audit of practice, leading to the implementation of specific changes to practice or provision of service protocols/care pathways.
 * Liaise with other involved agencies and with clients and carers to provide an integrated service.
Qualifications
 * Diploma or degree leading to the RCSLT Certificate to Practice.
 * Registered member of RCSLT.
 * Licence to practice with the Healthcare Professions Council.
 * Current UK professional registration.
Experience
 * Experience of working in a multi‑disciplinary team.
 * Experience of working with adults and/or children with complex disabilities or neurological conditions.
Location & Compensation
 * Location: Leatherhead Court, Woodlands Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 0BN.
 * Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per year plus excellent benefits.
 * Contract: Permanent.
 * Working pattern: Full‑time or part‑time (by agreement).
 * Band: 6.
