Technical Specialist – Lighting (Events & Production) London £45k Benefits Package A leading global events production company is seeking an experienced Lighting Technical Specialist to join its UK lighting team. This is a varied role acting as a senior technician, supporting the design, specification and operation of lighting across a wide range of live events and productions. The successful candidate will work closely with the UK Head of Lighting and play a key role both on-site and in planning stages of projects. Key Responsibilities Specify, design and operate lighting for live events and productions. Operate at least one major lighting console platform (Avolites, ETC Eos or MA). Lead and supervise technicians during event setup, delivery and breakdown. Support lighting design using CAD software such as Vectorworks, Capture, WYSIWYG or AutoCAD. Carry out basic fixture maintenance and troubleshooting. Work collaboratively with production managers, designers and venue stakeholders. Contribute to training and development of junior team members. Requirements Minimum 4 years’ experience within a lighting or live production environment. Strong technical knowledge of DMX, basic networking and production power. Ability to read and interpret lighting plots and production documentation. Experience working at height and with industry-standard rigging practices. Proven experience leading teams on live event or production sites. Relevant industry training or certification is advantageous.
