SWIMMING INSTRUCTORS (CASUAL & PART TIME)
We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable swimming instructors with a real passion for swimming teaching to join our friendly team. We are looking to recruit permanent teachers on Saturdays and Sundays as well as cover teachers for weeknight evenings and weekends in Northwood, Middlesex.
Duties included:
To plan and deliver lessons ensuring adherence to the scheme of work using the Swim England framework, appropriate to the level of a given swimmer.
* Ensure that safety standards are followed in all sessions
* Identify participants' abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential
* Provide explanations and demonstrate swimming techniques. Correct faults in swimming practices and identify ways to improve performance
* Be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage children and adults to participate in swimming
* Evaluate sessions and give feedback. Regularly assess each participant's ability and progress and arrange for the award of the appropriate certificates
* Work alongside the Swimming Supervisor, other Swimming Teachers, Lifeguards etc to help ensure that participants are always swimming in a safe environment
Agree to abide by the code of conduct and carry out duties in accordance with Swim England policies, including equal opportunities, safeguarding children, health and safety at work, etc.
Specific requirements of successful candidate:
* ASA Level 2 (STA or AUS SWIM equivalent accepted)
* RLSS NRASTC Award (STA equivalent accepted)
* Clear, enhanced DBS. This can be completed by Push & Glide LTD if not registered for the update service.
* Checkable reference
* Current valid Swim England safeguarding certificate (or be willing to complete the online zoom course within 1 month of acceptance offer).
Desired, by not essential requirements:
* Current Lifeguard qualification NPLQ
*All applicants will be required to teach a 30 minute trial lesson before offered teaching hours
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £23.00-£25.00 per hour
