Yeah, we get that a lot! We’re Hudson Rose, a boutique mortgage and insurance brokerage in Gloucestershire. We look a bit different, do business a lot different, and we stick out like a sore thumb in an industry full of suits and ties.
But we want to be an even bigger sore thumb. We’re 9 times the size we were in 2020, we’ve opened 3 new shops across Gloucestershire, plus one in Bristol, and we’ve recently had some very exciting investment.
Now we’re looking for another mortgage broker, based out of our Nailsworth, Cirencester or Cheltenham shops, to join our alarmingly fast-growing team. If you know your stuff (as well as being friendly, down-to-earth, and not weird unless it’s in a cool and interesting way) we want to hear from you.
What we need:
* · First class customer service – this is hands-down the most important bit. We want to stand out for being easy to work with, lovely to talk to, and slicker than your average broker.
* · Compliant advice – but you need to know your onions, of course. We provide whole-of-market mortgage advice in a compliant manner, so you need to come ready. We also advise clients on relevant insurance, to keep them safe in shark-infested waters.
* · CeMap Qualified - or equivalent.
* · Creative ideation – our mission is to ‘de-suit’ the industry, and you’re going to be a part of that. Everyone gets their say on how we can stand out and break the mould, whilst delivering a wicked mortgage and insurance brokerage.
* On paper, we’re looking for a CeMap (or equivalent) qualified mortgage adviser with at least 3 years experience. In reality, what we really want is somebody we like and somebody our clients will like too – customer service really is the top of the tree on this whole thing.
* So even if you think you’re a little shy of the mark on experience, we still want to meet you.
CeMap qualification is a non-negotiable we’re afraid.
What you’ll do:
* You’ll offer advice and brokerage for whole-of-market mortgage and insurance products.
* That’s basically it – along with all the other usuals like developing good relationships with our professional partners & colleagues, getting stuck in with our ambitious growth plans, and not eating anything with too much garlic or onion in the open plan office.
* If you love the industry and want to shake things up a bit, and you don’t want to sell your soul to the corporate overlords that normally run this sort of game, you already sound like one of us.
What we offer:
* £28,500 basic salary
* OTE £60k plus – we’re asking for somebody special, so we’re paying special rates.
* 37.5 hours – this role will be based in our Bristol shop, with occasional trips to our other shops a possibility.
* Annual wellness allowance – to help pay for treatments etc when you strain your back powerlifting or moving the cat out of the way.
* Plenty of leads – we’re not scratching around in the dirt here, our marketing works.
* Fun – you can be yourself, not a corporate drone. Don’t you dare dress smart.
