Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Early Years (Full Time, Until July 2026)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant with an EYFS or Early Years qualification to join a highly supportive Nursery School in the Selly Oak area. This is a full-time position running until July 2026, with the successful candidate working as part of a well-established nursery team known for its nurturing environment and strong partnership with our agency.
If you are passionate about early childhood development and helping young children grow into confident, independent learners, this role could be the perfect fit.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Level 2 TA qualification and a recognised EYFS/Early Years qualification
Have a strong interest in child development and supporting high-quality learning
Be comfortable assisting with personal care
Be warm, approachable, and able to build positive relationships
Act as a positive role model for young children
Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
About the role:
Full-time position running until July 2026
Based in a supportive nursery environment that values consistency and long-term relationships
Initial trial period through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to secure a long-term placement
Additional training, including safeguarding, will be provided
Prior experience working with young children is preferred but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
