Under the supervision of a chartered engineer, you will develop knowledge in the design process covering conceptual, feasibility, project management and detail design. You will gain the skill set to progress within the company and professionally. In addition, you will be assisted to work towards incorporation or chartership the with the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers. A balanced workload will provide technical and management exposure, ensuring your career moves forward. Your broad project workload will typically include renewable energy, data centres, power distribution, commercial, residential and historic buildings. As well as honing your steel and concrete design expertise you will steadily gain project delivery experience. You will become an integral part of the civil and structural division, accompany senior engineers on site visits, attend design team meetings and become acquainted with clients and external consultants. Your Profile: A degree qualified engineer with two or more years’ experience, ideally covering steel and concrete design. Sound interpersonal and team working skills are essential, as is the willingness to learn and develop your technical, delivery and management expertise. Some existing knowledge of using industry standard design software and Auto CAD.
