Driver Hire Leeds West is working with a busy electrical products wholesaler based in Leeds. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their team on a temp-to-perm basis.
In this role, you’ll be picking and packing goods in a medium-sized warehouse. You will follow picking notes and use established processes to locate small products. The warehouse is spread over three levels, so there will be a lot of walking, making good physical fitness important.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, with 2x 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Additionally, you’ll work one Saturday in four, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
£13.68 per hour (PAYE Advanced – Holiday Pay Included) Mon-Fri. Saturday Rate £16.36 per hour
£12.21 per hour (PAYE Accrued) Mon-Fri. Saturday Rate £14.60 per hour.
The choice of pay model is yours and will be explained to you in detail by our team during your interview.
This role is more than just a standard warehouse job. The team is friendly and experienced, with many members working there for years. * Previous picking and packing experience in a warehouse
* Good physical fitness (due to walking and movement on multiple warehouse levels)
* Strong levels of written and spoken English

* Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions
* Willing to learn new skills, such as FLT training
* Positive attitude and respectful approach to colleagues
After completing 13 weeks with Driver Hire, and if everything goes well, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to transfer to permanent employment with the company.
