The Opportunity
This site-based role is located at a nuclear power station in Lancashire, where you’ll work within the Outage Planning team – a critical function responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant during planned maintenance and shutdown periods.
You’ll support:
* Project planning and scheduling for key engineering works
* Front-end engineering planning
* Commercial and performance reviews
* Risk assessments and stakeholder engagement
Previous students have worked on high-profile improvement programmes, contributing to progress tracking systems and data-informed decision-making that directly affects plant safety and performance.
Key Criteria / Must-Haves
To be eligible, you must:
* Be on track to achieve (or have already achieved) a 2:2 or higher in a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in one of the following:
* Project Management
* Engineering (any discipline)
* Have a genuine interest in energy, infrastructure or project delivery
* Demonstrate strong planning, coordination and communication skills
* Be confident working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
* Have the legal right to work in the UK by the placement start date
* (Priority may be given to those who already hold this right)
