Job Overview
We are looking to appoint a Receptionist / Ward Clerk within Perinatal Services based at New Cross Hospital to cover in all other areas within the unit Maternity / Neonates.
The post will undertake various clerical / reception and appointment duties in connection with the administration processes within Women and Neonatal services. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both face to face and over the telephone, and be able to use a keyboard to input information. They must also possess a mature outlook when dealing with sensitive and confidential issues and be flexible to cover in the absence of colleagues.
Main Duties of the Job
This will include working in all locations within Perinatal Services to administer clinic preparation, appointments, updating Careflo demographics for all ward transactions, filing, appointment booking, and other duties. The post holder will be required to work in outpatient reception areas and ward reception areas and must be flexible.
The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a reasonable level of initiative in organizing their workload and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits. They must ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
