Job Description
As a Driver/Warehouse Person, you will be a key member of our team, providing exceptional service to customers and branches. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers and branches
* Maintaining a polite and professional demeanour during face-to-face customer interactions
* Safely operating and maintaining delivery vehicles in accordance with company policies and road regulations
* Accurately verifying and documenting all deliveries and collections
* Assisting with loading and unloading of vehicles when required
* Supporting warehouse operations as needed, including:
o Picking and packing orders
o Managing stock and conducting inventory checks
o Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
* Adhering to all health and safety guidelines in both driving and warehouse roles
* Promptly reporting any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements
* Collaborating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth operations
* Providing excellent customer service, addressing queries and resolving issues promptly
* Maintaining accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules
* Adapting to changing priorities and workloads to support overall business needs
* Participating in relevant training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
This role primarily focuses on driving duties, but flexibility to assist with warehouse tasks when required is essential. Your ability to seamlessly transition between responsibilities will be crucial in supporting our dynamic business operations.
Qualifications
* DRIVING & EXPERIENCE: Valid UK Drivers Licence for 12+ months (max 3 points), with proven multi-drop driving and basic warehouse experience
* SKILLS: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to adapt to changing business needs
