* This is a static based position at the Rolls Royce sites in Chichester & Bognor
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic tradesperson to join our engineering family.
The team is made up of knowledgeable and experienced professionals that provide engineering support to all of our customers and ensure that the Plant & Apparatus remains available, compliant and safe. We are looking to welcome an individual that can bring their experience and knowledge to further develop and innovate our offering to the business.
The Engineering team is made up of highly skilled individuals across the full range of Engineering disciplines, i.e. Mechanical & Electrical with the responsibility of maintaining an appropriate Asset Management strategy.
Our Multi Skilled Engineers provide delivery of facilities support services across our client sites. You will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance and business support tasks. You will report to the Engineering Manager and assist engineers as required in the delivery of reactive, planned and ad hoc maintenance tasks.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and oversight of a range of mechanical engineering maintenance tasks and defects and will become a valued addition to a dynamic and pro-active group of Maintenance Engineers'.
Key Deliverables
* To provide mechanical engineering expertise in the investigation and rectification of plant and equipment defects.
* To provide technical support where required for mechanical engineering maintenance tasks.
* To be a customer-focused individual to support delivery within your range of skills, knowledge, experience, and competence.
Suitable training and up-skilling - May be given, as and when required, to achieve competency and the ability to perform your responsibilities.
Working hours – 3 shift pattern consisting of Early shift, Day shift and Late shift
There is also the need to carry out certain works out of hours at times.
Main Responsibilities
* Proactively be involved in the safe and effective day to day maintenance activities at the Rolls Royce facility
* Be responsible for the availability of all machinery, plant and infrastructure through a programme of Preventative Maintenance.
* Responsible for maintaining, improving and reporting of an appropriate suite of the contracts 'Key Performance Indicators'
* To be actively involved with the quality and accuracy of all service and maintenance records including the Maintenance/Facilities Maximo/Mijobs Modules.
* To provide hands on assistance in Electrical/Mechanical plant and machinery breakdowns/faults.
* Be actively involved with the network of subcontractors and suppliers and ensure value, safety and reliability is high.
* Day to Day communication with other departments.
* Help and support of all external audits relating to the business e.g. Permits, Environment Agency, Landlord and third party.
We believe the ideal candidate will have the following experience:
* Ideally years' experience in a maintenance / facilities management environment.
* Experienced in preventative (and reactive) maintenance
* Proven experience of working within large and complex environments
* Proven team work and ability to exercise initiative where required.
* PC Literate (Microsoft) and Complex Maintenance Programmes.
Health & Safety:
* Follow Group and company policies and procedures, at all times.
* Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery, or risk to health and safety, or the environment.
* Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
* Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
* Take personal responsibility for Health & Safety matters.
