We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow to join the Fleming Initiative at Imperial College London, working within the GSK–Fleming Grand Challenge 4 programme on antimicrobial resistance.
Based within the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU), you will support delivery of a proof-of-concept randomised clinical trial in antimicrobial prescribing, contributing to patient-facing research, data analysis and dissemination.
This role is ideal for a clinician in training in infectious diseases or medical microbiology, offering opportunities to develop skills in clinical trials, epidemiology and research within a multidisciplinary, globally focused programme.
1. You will support the delivery of a randomised clinical trial in antimicrobial prescribing, working closely with the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit.
2. You will contribute to patient recruitment, assessment and follow-up within clinical research studies.
3. You will assist with data collection, management and statistical analysis.
4. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the Fleming Initiative.
5. You will contribute to research outputs, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
6. You will support the development of research proposals and future funding applications.
7. Medically qualified (MBBS or equivalent) with full GMC registration
8. Clinical training in infectious diseases, microbiology or a related discipline
9. Experience working in hospital clinical settings
10. Knowledge of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance and clinical research methods
11. Evidence of research experience, including publications and/or presentations
12. Strong communication and organisational skills
13. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
