The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivatedEngineering Supervisorto join our team at our Glasgow depot.
This is ahands-on supervisory role, where you’ll lead daily workshop activity, ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and compliance standards, and support the reliable delivery of our services.
You’ll play a key role inprotecting our operator licence, maximising fleet availability, and supporting depot performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise day-to-day workshop activity and allocate work to engineering staff
* Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line withDVSA, manufacturer, and company standards
* Monitor defects and ensure timely and effective rectification
* Support MOT preparation and improve first-time pass rates
* Promote a stronghealth & safety cultureand ensure compliance with procedures
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of engineers and technicians
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and support reporting requirements
* Coordinate effectively with operations teams and external suppliers
About You
* Proven experience in asupervisory or senior technician rolewithin PSV, HGV, or automotive engineering
* Strong knowledge ofDVSA compliance and maintenance standards
* Ability to lead teams and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
* A proactive and safety-focused approach
Desirable:
* Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* PSV licence (or willingness to obtain)
* IRTEC accreditation
