We are working with a top-tier Scottish law firm who are seeking a Director to lead their Construction & Projects team within their Edinburgh office.
The Role
The successful candidate will join an elite Construction & Projects department, advising clients on strategy, managing risks, and resolving disputes on complex, high-value construction and infrastructure projects. The candidate’s role will see them specialising in construction disputes, acting for many employer, developer, contractor, and consultant clients, across matters such as Court, Arbitration, Adjudication, Strategic Advisory and ADR.
The candidate will play a key leadership role within the team, facilitating the growth and development of junior members through supervision, training, and mentoring. The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.
Essential Criteria
* 8+ PQE;
* Strong background in construction law and litigation;
* Ability to demonstrate strong commercial awareness;
* Outstanding academics;
* Technically excellent;
* Negotiation skills;
* Willingness to become involved in business development;
* Ability to work independently and as a team.
