A new role for a Project Designer has arisen in Birmingham. My Client focusses on the high‑end delivery of SFS (Steel Framed Solutions) and pre‑fabricated structural steel building sections and systems, to Clients within the property and Construction sector. This job role will focus on project detailing of light gauge steel systems and to effectively manage projects throughout the design and completely own the production of Revit models. This role is ideally suited for someone with approximately 1 - 3 years of experience in Revit and ideally SFS.
Overview of Project Designer Role:
* Maintain and generate drawings (Plans, Elevations & Sections), providing bespoke and standard details within the pack
* Understanding the scope of works and interpret the clients design requirements
* Liaising with all relevant members of the internal & external project design team
* Attend design meetings
* Interpretation of architects' and structural engineers' drawings
* Incorporation of comments as required (external/ internal)
* Issue drawings to client via portal uploads
* Work on multiple projects and informing clients of progression
* Filing comments, drawings & documents received from external & internal
* Collaborating on projects alongside other team members
* Planning & organising tasks and projects
Qualifications / Experience
Ideally possessing an HNC, Architectural degree or relevant industry related qualifications/experience applicants will also be knowledgeable in the following areas:
* Standard Infill, Oversail and Load Bearing knowledge
* Able to create innovative solutions
* Excellent problem‑solving skillsExcellent attention to detail
* Capable of fully understanding architectural and engineering drawings.
* Knowledge of BIM Level 2 requirements
* Revit experience
* AutoCAD experience
* Good communication skills
