Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum
About the Role:
As the Head of Operations & Logistics, you will take full accountability for the daily operations of our transport, warehouse, and logistics teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth planning, scheduling, and coordination of shipments, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide inspirational leadership and take full responsibility for all operational management.
* Oversee daily transport, warehouse, and logistics operations, ensuring seamless execution.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), proactively resolving any issues.
* Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, creating data-driven solutions.
* Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise costs and service levels.
* Ensure workforce effectiveness through training, talent management, and succession planning.
* Utilise data to drive productivity, improve stock management, and enhance cost efficiencies.
* Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations and proactive risk management.
* Provide strategic input on Warehouse Management System (WMS) upgrades and IT projects.

* Reduction in operational downtime.
* Improvements in productivity and cost efficiencies.
