Trainee/ Assistant Design Coordinator

Based in the Head Office in Hertfordshire | Site visits in London (1–2 days/week)


Looking to step into the world of design coordination but not quite sure where to begin? This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a foundational understanding of design or MEP who’s ready to grow and learn in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.


We’re supporting a well-established contractor in their search for a Junior / Trainee Assistant Design Coordinator to work closely with their Design and Project teams across London projects. This role is ideal for someone who sits between an apprentice and a full-blown Assistant Design Coordinator or Assistant Design Manager – someone green but switched-on, eager to learn and able to grow into the role with the right support.


What you’ll be doing:

* Shadow and support the Design Manager and wider team
* Help coordinate design information between consultants, subcontractors and site teams
* Attend design meetings and contribute to issue resolution
* Assist with document tracking, design queries and drawing reviews
* Gain experience on both general construction and MEP-focused packages
