We are recruiting a Preceptorship Midwife to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that women, birthing people, and families receive high-quality, compassionate care in co-production with our service users. Join us to help the Trust continue its journey towards 'great people, great place'.
Each year, we assist approximately 1,000 families in preparing for their journey into parenthood. As part of our trust, you'll have a unique opportunity to provide care across all areas of the service.
Our labour ward features five delivery rooms, including one with a birthing pool, and a dedicated maternity theatre. Midwives work within an integrated model, following women and birthing people from antenatal to postnatal wards.
You will need to be motivated, committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, and open to embracing positive change and transformation to meet the community's evolving needs.
As a newly qualified midwife, you'll be supported by our Recruitment and Retention midwives, clinical leads, and practice development midwives. You will undertake a comprehensive preceptorship programme, which offers clinical and pastoral support, along with dedicated time for additional training and development. After an extended supernumerary period, you'll develop skills and competencies in all areas of midwifery as you complete the programme and prepare for transition to a Band 6 Midwife.
If you are interested in joining our team and share our vision to provide safe, high-quality, seamless services delivered with courtesy and respect, we would love to hear from you.
