Overview:
My client is seeking a motivated and capable individual to join their team as a Trainee QA/QC Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in welding and fabrication who is looking to transition into a quality assurance role.
My client has a proven track record of developing individuals from outside the industry into key members of their team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on fabrication experience who is ready to take the next step in their career, with excellent long-term prospects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Play a key role in ensuring welding and fabrication activities across various projects are done to the highest possible standards
• Assist with inspection and quality checks during mechanical and welding stages
• Work safely at height and in confined spaces
• Participate in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) processes
• Travel to project sites across the UK and internationally
Essential Criteria:
• Background in welding and fabrication
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments
• Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
• Basic understanding of NDE techniques
• Familiarity with inspection processes for welding and mechanical work
• Willingness to travel for up to 20 weeks per year
• GCSEs in Maths and English
• Computer literate
• Experience with drawing or CAD software is an advantage
• Eager to learn and grow within the role
• Understanding of welding procedures and standards
