GSL Education are looking for passionate and reliable Cover Supervisors (CS) to join schools across Sheffield. As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task. You will support learning, maintain a positive environment, and uphold behaviour standards to ensure effective classroom management. This role allows you to gain insight into different schools and year groups while developing essential skills for a career in education. Cover Supervisor (CS) Responsibilities: Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and key stages. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Support students with their learning, ensuring they remain focused and engaged. Build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Adapt quickly to different classroom environments. Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification (desirable but not mandatory). Previous experience working with young people as a Cover Supervisor or similar is advantageous. Strong communication and behaviour management skills. A flexible, confident, and adaptable approach.
