We are a growing and developing service and are recruiting a new Team Leader for the Paediatric Physiotherapist Team. This is a community post across Birmingham, with a caseload of children and young people with neurological and developmental conditions. We are looking for a Physiotherapist who is experienced in paediatrics and motivated to help grow and develop the physiotherapy service. The successful candidate should have proven paediatric experience, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
The role will primarily involve a mixture of staff management responsibilities and clinical work, delivering clinics, schools and community-based assessments and interventions. Treatments will be delivered using a Package of Care approach.
Candidates will have responsibility for the line management and supervision of designated staff and students. The post holder will manage day-to-day operational aspects of a designated team and act as a conduit between staff and the Service Clinical Manager, ensuring robust two-way communication. The postholder will deputise for the Service Clinical Manager and provide cover for other Team Leaders when required and as agreed.
Management of a team of staff comprising bands 2 to 7 including clinical and admin staff (up to 22 members depending on current team configuration). The post holder will work as a highly skilled practitioner accountable for their own clinical work, using highly specialist knowledge to inform clinical judgements and decision making. The postholder will act as a source of clinical expertise/advice and guidance for families, carers and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including Health, Education and Social Care staff.
