As we continue to expand, we're looking for a qualified accountant to join us as a Financial Controls Accountant, taking ownership of strengthening the financial control environment across the entire Group.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting & Controls, our Financial Controls Accountant will be central to how we document, test and improve financial controls - making sure we stay compliant with internal policy and external regulation, while helping the wider finance team manage risk with confidence. Develop, document and maintain the Group's financial control risk register, spanning all areas of financial management including taxation, payroll services and anti-money laundering (AML) cont
* rols.Lead the integration of subsidiary finance teams into the Group's financial control frame
* work.Test and review financial controls on a regular basis, identifying weaknesses and implementing improvem
* ents.Produce clear, concise reporting on control effectiveness, presenting findings and recommendations to senior manage
* ment.Partner with finance and operational teams to embed best practice in controls and risk manage
* ment.Shape systems and process improvements so that controls and compliance requirements stay effective and fit for pur
* pose.Support the preparation of annual statutory financial statem
* ents.Assist with the year-end external audit and act as a point of contact for audi
* tors.Take on ad hoc analysis, reporting and project work for the wider Group Finance
team.
