We currently have an opportunity for a skilled individual to support our Catering Team at our residential care home for older people in Bath.
This role is ideal for someone with cooking experience who wants to support the Catering Manager or a kitchen assistant seeking to advance their skills.
Bridgemead is a 32-bed residential care home by the river in central Bath, caring for residents with dementia and providing respite care. View our lovely home.

Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and serve nutritionally balanced, attractive meals considering preferences and dietary needs.
* Observe food hygiene regulations.
* Maintain proper temperature and hygiene during food preparation and serving.
* Keep the kitchen and storage areas clean and organized.
* Maintain all required records during your shift.
* Attend meetings and training as needed.
* Work collaboratively as part of a team and undertake tasks to ensure excellent service to residents.

About you:
* You enjoy working with older people and have empathy for them;
* You enjoy cooking and can prepare food to a good standard;
* A basic food hygiene certificate or relevant qualification is an advantage but not essential if you have cooking skills and experience.
