Schools in Sheffield (S5, S9) and GSL Education are seeking a skilled Design Technology Teacher to deliver engaging, hands-on lessons. As a Design Technology (DT) Teacher, you will encourage students to develop practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity through a range of design and manufacturing projects. You will create a safe and structured learning environment where students can confidently explore materials, tools, and technical processes. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver practical, well-structured DT lessons. Teach safe use of tools, equipment, and materials. Assess, monitor, and track student progress. Support students in developing creative design ideas. Maintain high standards of behaviour and workshop safety. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting. Strong classroom and workshop management skills. Good organisational and communication abilities. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply. What’s in It for You?
