As a Buyer you will be responsible for developing, sourcing and delivering a commercially focused range, whilst driving profit and enhancing Celtic Football Clubs brand. You'll be part of our Head Office team, making sure our ranges are commercially developed and delivered in line with our brand vision and strategy

Key accountabilities will include:

* Plans and builds a commercially balanced range, whilst achieving margin targets as set by company
* Completes regular departmental product reviews, ensuring coordination across departments in terms of trends and colour palettes
* Operates an effective and timely product sign off process, in line with the critical path and planning cycle, ensuring all ranges are delivered in line with scheduled launch dates
* Take ownership of the critical path and deadlines are met with any issues being raised and action plans communicated and implemented
* Review and analyses sales data, identifying top performing product/lines, ensuring data driven decisions are made for future lines/intakes and recommendations for improvement made and presented
* Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimum product, prices and terms of contract. Utilizing supplier's expertise to improve range and knowledge
* Collaborating with other departments within the company to ensure the successful launch of new product lines/seasonal collections and other company initiatives

* Input in to the development of assistant buyer

Communication and collaborative working

* To communicate information across the required departments at Celtic FC.
* Ensure all communications colleagues is professional, appropriate and considerate of individual needs and circumstances
* Actively build and maintain positive working relationships with Colleagues across the Club, ensuring a collaborative approach is adopted at all times
* Treat all colleagues with dignity and respect by ensuring that your behaviour and approach during the course of all workplace activity is inclusive of all backgrounds and abilities and welcomes diverse contributions

Skills and Experience required:

* Experience within a fashion retail buying role with a commercial mind set
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
* Deep understanding of fabrics, garment construction and the whole buying process with a strong eye for detail
* Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining effective relationships with both internal and external teams
* Results driven individual, highly motivated, enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed – able to problem solve effectively and quickly
* Proven track record of developing and trading highly commercial fashion ranges that exceed sales/ profit targets
* Awareness of current trends
