Head of Finance (m/f)
Location: Filton, Bristol
Contract: Full time, 30 hours per week, 4 days
Job Summary
We seek a skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead and manage our financial activities. The ideal candidate will oversee the company's financial operations, provide strategic financial guidance, ensure compliance with UK regulations and standards, and promote financial growth and stability. This role reports directly to the Group CFO and collaborates closely with the Managing Director to shape the organization’s financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Lead financial strategies to ensure health, stability, and growth; advise senior management; recommend cost efficiencies.
* Financial Management: Prepare budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports; lead annual budgeting; monitor financial metrics; ensure compliance with standards.
* Financial Reporting & Analysis: Provide financial reports to stakeholders; conduct risk analysis; report on financial performance.
* Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to tax, VAT, and accounting standards; oversee risk management; manage relationships with auditors and advisors; lead financial audits.
* Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, working capital, investments; ensure liquidity; develop treasury strategies.
* Mergers, Acquisitions & Partnerships: Lead due diligence; evaluate opportunities and risks.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related; Master’s preferred; professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA) desirable.
* Minimum 5 years in senior finance roles; proven success in financial management and strategic planning; experience with leadership and corporate finance.
* Skills include financial modelling, UK tax laws, software proficiency (Excel, ERP), excellent communication, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.

Additional Details
Contract end date for applications: 16th May 2025; interviews in May; start in July; salary circa £45,000 depending on experience.
