The Opportunity We are seeking Electrical Design Engineers to support the design, development, and delivery of Low Voltage Power systems within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. This is an opportunity to provide specialist technical services, develop detailed designs and drawings, deliver calculations, and contribute to improving operational performance across critical infrastructure projects. The Role You will be responsible for creating designs, verifying the work of others, and ensuring timely handover of design deliverables to the procurement and construction teams. You will work under the direction of the Lead EC&I Engineer. Location – Warrington, Stockton or Cumbria (Hybrid) Position type – Contract, inside IR35, 12 months Your duties and responsibilities will be Ensuring the safety, compliance, and functionality of LV electrical distribution systems. Provide challenge and technical advice to internal stakeholders to support the development and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. Apply appropriate engineering techniques and solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.You will have the following qualifications and experience Preferably a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or international equivalent), or possess demonstrable equivalent experience. Solid understanding of low voltage electrical distribution systems. Familiarity with the interfaces between EC&I and other engineering disciplines on complex, multi-discipline projects. Understanding of risk management, value engineering, and design assurance principles. Awareness of UK Health & Safety legislation, relevant industry standards, and engineering best practice. Ability to produce technical documents including: Electrical Services Specifications, Value Engineering Reports, Earthing & Bonding Plans, Designer’s Risk Assessments Proficient in LV design software and lighting design tools (e.g., ProDesign, Amtech, Havecomp, Dialux, Relux). Strong knowledge of BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations and supporting guidance documents.
